Our client is a medium-sized British consulting firm, specialized in delivering insights to the finance and retail sectors. They faced a critical challenge typical of growing businesses: their highly skilled analysts were bogged down by manual, time-consuming report preparation. Data, scattered across multiple sources such as CRM, BI dashboards, Excel spreadsheets, and client surveys, took 8–10 hours to consolidate for a single report. 

With increasingly tight deadlines and surging demand, partners voiced concerns that the team was “stuck in Excel,” unable to fully pivot from data collection and layout to delivering valuable strategic insights. Solution

Hymux Technologies developed an AI-powered assistant designed to automate and streamline the client’s report generation process. This intelligent system directly addressed the challenge of fragmented data by seamlessly integrating via API with their existing CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce), Power BI dashboards, and various storage solutions (Excel, Google Sheets, SharePoint, Typeform, manual market data). 

The AI assistant automatically collects, aggregates, and analyzes the necessary data. Then it utilizes an integrated language learning model (LLM) to craft text insights and visually structure a draft client report in PowerPoint, adhering to company templates. 

The solution gives analysts a complete draft presentation in just 15 minutes. They then verify data, refine the recommendations, and finalize the document within two hours—down from 10 hours before. This saves time and lets analysts focus on adding value instead of manual work.

1. Data Ingestion Layer

The system uses API connections to link directly with the client’s disparate corporate systems. This includes CRMs such as Salesforce and HubSpot, BI dashboards (Power BI), various Excel files, customer survey platforms (Typeform), and even historical reports. 

This layer automatically pulls all necessary data, eliminating the manual collection and verification tasks previously performed by analysts. The collected data is then consolidated into a centralized data storage system on the client’s side.

2. AI Processing and Report Generation Mode

The AI processing layer combines deterministic data processing with generative AI capabilities. 

First, structured analytics pipelines aggregate and normalize the data and detect trends using rule-based logic and statistical methods.

The processed and validated datasets are then passed to an integrated LLM, which is responsible for synthesizing human-readable insights, explaining trends, highlighting anomalies, and drafting narrative sections of the report.

Concurrently, a dedicated PowerPoint generation module works with the LLM to structure the report, inserting these insights and visualizations directly into the client’s pre-defined corporate templates. This module automatically creates standard sections such as “Overview,” “Market,” “Recommendations,” and “Next Steps.”

3. Analyst Review and Verification Interface

The final stage focuses on efficiency and accuracy through human-AI collaboration. Within approximately 15 minutes, the analyst receives a draft PowerPoint presentation. Crucially, the system provides a source verification mechanism, allowing the analyst to see exactly where each figure and piece of data originated. This empowers the analyst to quickly check facts, refine the AI-generated recommendations, and add their expert commentary, reducing the overall report completion time from 10 hours to just 2 hours.
