Through collaboration with Hymux Technologies, the customer acquired a comprehensive ticketing platform with a white-label application that can be tailored to the needs of various organizations. We also delivered a cross-platform ticketing app that simplifies ticket purchasing for citizens and travelers in Turku. This app was awarded “Best Mobile Solution in Finland” and has garnered more than 100K downloads on both iOS and Android platforms.

Customer

The customer is a Finnish company that provides cloud-based solutions for smart cities, transportation operators, and event organizers in the areas of ticketing, payments, and validation.

Solution

Initially, the customer had only an idea, so our team had to create a project from scratch in close collaboration with the customer’s specialists.

Since the customer intended to expand beyond Turku and partner with other public transportation systems in the future, the first task for our team was to create a comprehensive ticketing platform with a white-label application that could be customized to the needs of specific organizations.

Then, we tailored the white-label app to a multi-ticket branded solution designed for Turku.

Using this cross-platform app, citizens and travelers in Turku can:

• buy various types of tickets, including single, day, combination, and even season tickets;
• top up or renew travel cards;
• access maps and transport timetables;
• plan routes;
• validate tickets in public transport using NFC, QR code, or laser;
• explore current traffic announcements and news.

The platform itself offers an intuitive interface for easy product management, allowing the creation of tickets with various parameters and the addition of various payment options, along with the ability to generate versatile reports.
